The iPhone 16 series has been launched this year, Like every year, Apple released four models: the iPhone 16, the iPhone 16 Plus, the iPhone 16 Pro, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. We are likely to see improvements in areas like chipsets, displays, cameras, fast charging, and batteries. Here’s everything we know so far based on the leak.

iPhone 16: Plus, Pro, and Max: new design?

Apple is not expected to make any major changes in the design of the 2024 iPhone. So far, leaks suggest that the iPhone 16 series will have a new dedicated capture button. According to Bloomberg, this will help people capture videos faster. Unlike regular buttons, the Capture button doesn’t physically move when you press it. Instead, a technology called haptic feedback is used. This means that you can feel a reaction when you touch it. This button is expected to detect how hard you press it, thanks to a force sensor.

It is reported that Apple will also include a new action button in the standard model of the iPhone 16 series, but it is not included in the current model. Like the iPhone 15 series, all models feature a punch-hole design. Of course, all versions of this year’s iPhone 16 also have a USB Type-C port.

iPhone 16: Plus, Pro, and Max: bigger display?

The iPhone 16 Pro is said to be released this year with a larger 6.3-inch display. Similarly, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the brand’s most premium device, is expected to come with a larger 6.9-inch screen. The Max model already has a larger display, and while the larger canvas improves the content viewing and gaming experience, it can create problems handling the phone with one hand.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus retain the display size of the previous generation and are unlikely to increase in size. This basically means that the Standard and Plus models can retain 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens, respectively. This leak also suggests that the standard iPhone 16 may eventually support a 120Hz refresh rate, which is a significant upgrade from the current 60Hz. Although not yet confirmed, this leak hints at notable changes in Apple’s upcoming models.

iPhone 16: Plus, Pro, and Max: Chipset? No graphite pads?

The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro series is likely to come with the upgraded A18 Pro chipset, which is a natural progression from the A17 Pro SoC. However, questions arise regarding the standard model. Will there be an upgraded version of the A17 Pro? If leaks are to be believed, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus may be equipped with an A17 chip. However, there is speculation that this may not be the A17 Pro chip found in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. We are likely to get more clarity about the chipset as more leaks emerge in the near future.
